Invitation to Tender                                                  [back]

Following the previous stages, we look to engage potential suppliers using an invitation to tender. Using our knowledge of the industry and our extensive database, potential suppliers are initially asked to express their interest in the tender to ensure that you, the client, have a fair representation of possibilities. Suppliers can put their details forward by registering at our product info area

Once a selection of suitable suppliers has been assembled based on their ability to potentially deliver the required solution, the tender document is issued. A considerable amount of time is spent in developing tender documents to include:-

  • An overview of the organization
  • Brief overview of existing technology / set up
  • Date of issue, for submissions to submitted, when they will be responded to and validity period
  • Business Case for the product/ service required
  • General Requirements of service
  • Detailed Functional Requirements
  • Timescales of project
  • Budget allocated and how costing should be detailed
  • Supplier information regarding financial standing and ability to deliver contract requirements including references ( This is generally part of the expression of interest in the tender)
  • Format of response
  • Basis of awarding contract
  • Terms and Conditions

The creation of the blueprint of requirements involves considerable input by the client, but time invested at this stage ensures accuracy of the final solution and acts as part of the project brief when it comes to managing the project.

All tender documents must be agreed to by the client before being issued to potential suppliers. Once tenders are received, Solinique then evaluates and negotiates
